Monsters created by Vitriol using his corallian power. With a sparkle of red energy, Vitriol animates lifeless matter and turns it into a creature bound to his will. The creature will generally display pink and green stained glass shards. It can attack by producing more of these shards, vomiting the stained glass in raw shards or in more elaborated shapes: swords, shurikens, spears...
While generally hostile, Familiars seem to follow the Command they were given at birth.
Familiars can be paralyzed for a time by Tilda, who can nullify corallian powers. When Vitriol's power is disabled, Familiars do no move anymore and their stained glass shards become gray.
- In European folklore and folk-belief of the Medieval and Early Modern periods, familiar spirits (sometimes referred to simply as "familiars" or "animal guides") were believed to be supernatural entities that would assist witches and cunning folk in their practice of magic.
- The level of sentience of Familiars (besides Klow) is unknown.
- Malazeiks are probably a subcategory of Familiars (unverified).
